Chancel Choir

 

The chancel choir is open to all singers, high school age and up. Be part of a diverse and friendly community of musicians. Develop vocal and musical skills singing choral literature of all styles. The Chancel Choir provides music leadership during Sunday morning 10:00 a.m. worship as well as in seasonal musical offerings with orchestra.

 

Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. in the music room (Room 10).

Handbell Choirs

 

This group of handbell enthusiasts contribute musically and spiritually to worship services about once a month at Emmanuel UMC.

 

Rehearsals for traditional handbells are held on Wednesdays at 6:30 in the music room. If you are interested in joining, contact “ringleader” Beverly Jones through the church office.

Praise Band

 

The praise team is a group of vocalists and instrumentalists that lead praise and worship at the 11:30 contemporary service. There they blend contemporary music with valuable traditional songs and hymns.

 

Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 8:00p in the sanctuary. If you are interested in being a part of this ministry, contact Dan James at the church office.

Children’s “Krystal Bells” Choir

 

              This group of children rehearses Sunday morning at 11:30 in Room 3.  Beyond learning songs to offer in worship, the group learns important music theory and skills to help prepare them for the more advanced programs at Emmanuel.  Contact Pam Morgan through the church office for more information.

 

Godz Rodz

 

              This amazing new ministry uses movement and dowel rods to create breathtaking visual splendor leaving much of the interpretation to the worshipper’s imagination.

Intercession Dancers and Wee Worship Dancers

 

Carefully choreographed movement is set to purposeful music to create an offering like no other. These contributions to Sunday worship are rehearsed with meticulous attention to detail.

Drama Ministry

 

Drama Ministry is a discipleship ministry that uses monologues, dialogue acting, and mime to portray the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Puppet Ministry

 

Puppets are a joy for young and old alike! These caricatures come to life to bring us messages during worship. This ministry is a great if you want to be involved without being “in the spotlight.” There are lots of “behind the scenes” ways to show your support.

Technical Ministry

 

Lights! Camera! Action! If you are technical savvy, being involved with the sound, video and lighting is a way for you to share your gifts with Emmanuel UMC.

Multi-Sensory Worship

 

              This dedicated group of individuals meets on a weekly basis to decorate the worship area. This includes arranging fresh flowers, taking care of plants, decorating the altar, and much more.
